Peer Review Process

The International Journal of Tourism Trends (IJTT) follows a double-blind peer review system to ensure fairness, objectivity, and academic integrity in the evaluation of submitted manuscripts.

Review Workflow

  1. Initial Screening – All submissions are first assessed by the Editor-in-Chief or assigned Section Editors to ensure relevance, originality, and compliance with the journal’s guidelines. Manuscripts that do not meet the basic requirements may be returned to authors without external review.

  2. Double-Blind Review – Eligible manuscripts are sent to at least two independent reviewers with expertise in the relevant field. Both the reviewers and authors remain anonymous during the process.

  3. Reviewer Evaluation – Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on originality, methodological rigor, clarity, contribution to knowledge, and alignment with the journal’s scope.

  4. Editorial Decision – Based on the reviewers’ recommendations, the editor will decide to:

    • Accept the manuscript

    • Request minor or major revisions

    • Reject the manuscript

  5. Revision & Resubmission – Authors may be invited to revise their manuscript and must address all reviewer comments within the given timeframe. Revised submissions may be re-evaluated by the reviewers.

  6. Final Decision – The Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision regarding acceptance and publication.

Review Timeframe

The review process typically takes 4–8 weeks, depending on reviewer availability and responsiveness.

Ethical Considerations

All reviews are conducted confidentially. Reviewers are required to declare any conflicts of interest and to provide constructive, unbiased feedback to help authors improve the quality of their work.
