Article Processing Charge (APC)

The International Journal of Tourism Trends (IJTT) currently applies an Article Processing Charge (APC) of IDR 500,000 (Five Hundred Thousand Rupiah) for each accepted article.
This fee supports the journal’s editorial management, peer review, copyediting, and open-access publication services.

Waiver Opportunities

IJTT offers a flexible and inclusive waiver program to support authors and encourage scholarly collaboration.
Authors may apply for a full APC waiver by completing the following steps:

  1. Follow the official IJTT social media accounts.

  2. Mention or tag at least five (5) academic colleagues or peers in an IJTT-related post.

  3. Ensure that the submitted article aligns closely with IJTT’s focus areas (digital tourism, sustainability, governance, market trends, and mobility innovation).

  4. Send an email to ijtt@tourismtrends.org including:

    • Proof of social media engagement,

    • The article title and submission ID, and

    • A short statement of relevance to IJTT’s focus.

Waiver Discussion in Review Process

After submission, authors requesting a waiver are invited to open a discussion with the editorial team through the OJS “Discussion” feature.
This step allows authors to:

  • Briefly explain their waiver request and the significance of their research,

  • Clarify how their paper contributes to IJTT’s themes, and

  • Ask questions about publication fees or waiver eligibility.

The waiver decision will be made after this editorial discussion, based on:

  • The paper’s relevance and quality,

  • The author’s engagement in the discussion, and

  • The journal’s available waiver quota.

Authors will be notified of the final waiver decision via email.

Notes

  • The waiver applies only to accepted articles.

  • Waivers are granted following the editorial review and discussion process to ensure fairness and transparency.

  • Updates regarding APCs and waiver policies will be announced in advance on the IJTT website:
