Aims and Scope

The International Journal of Tourism Trends (IJTT) publishes original, high-quality research articles that advance theoretical and practical understanding of tourism in the digital era. The journal seeks to bridge innovation, sustainability, and management within the global tourism landscape.

IJTT focuses on five integrated areas of tourism research:

  1. Digital, Smart, and Communication Tourism – Exploring AI, blockchain, big data, and digital storytelling to enhance innovation, connectivity, and destination branding.

  2. Sustainable, Regenerative, and Rural Tourism – Strategies for environmental responsibility, community resilience, and local development rooted in cultural and natural heritage.

  3. Tourism Market, Business, and Hospitality Trends – Understanding traveler behavior, hospitality management, service innovation, and post-pandemic market dynamics.

  4. Destination Governance, Policy, and Crisis Management – Collaborative governance, destination planning and development, policy frameworks, and crisis response for resilient tourism systems.

  5. Travel, Transportation, and Mobility Innovation – Advancing accessibility, transportation systems, and smart mobility to support seamless and inclusive tourism experiences.

IJTT welcomes multidisciplinary approaches that connect tourism with technology, sustainability, policy, and cultural innovation.

Manuscript Preparation

Language:
Manuscripts must be written in clear and concise English. 

Length:
Manuscripts should generally be between 5,000–8,000 words, including references, tables, and figures.

Format:
All submissions must follow APA (7th edition) for in-text citations and references. Manuscripts should be typed in Times New Roman, 12 pt, 1.5 line spacing, on A4-sized pages.

Structure:
A standard manuscript should include the following sections:

  1. Title Page – Title, author(s) names, affiliations, and corresponding author contact.

  2. Abstract – 150–250 words summarizing purpose, methods, key findings, and implications.

  3. Keywords – 3–5 relevant keywords.

  4. Introduction – Background, purpose, and research significance.

  5. Literature Review / Theoretical Framework

  6. Methodology – Data collection, sampling, and analysis methods.

  7. Results and Discussion

  8. Conclusion and Implications

  9. References
